ABSTRACT
The study shows rainless period, shortage of ground water, water crisis in irrigation, crop loss due to drought, and its impact of environment. Data used in this paper were collected during the summer of 20152016 from six affected villages located in the northern part of Bangladesh. Household survey and field visit data indicates a harmful impact on human beings and economic loss in a selected area of Bangladesh. Results revealed that rich, medium, poor and very poor households were affected by the drought.
